On Tuesday, November 3, 2009, six women began a 10-day marathon in an attempt to break a Guinness World Records™ record, while reading the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. At 6pm on November 12th, the previous standing record of 224 hours was broken!

The team continued to read until the following morning, establishing a new Guinness World RecordsTM record of 240 hours, 15 minutes and 27 seconds, placing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the most translated and sold book in the world! seconds!
