In our continued effort to promote human rights education and awareness, International Solidarity for Human Rights: The New Generation, will take human rights education to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. In the month of September 2010, ISHR will be taking on the challenge of El Camino de Santiago aka The Way to St. James, in a pilgrimage of human rights, education, culture and spirituality. Throughout this 307 kilometer journey by foot through Northwestern Spain, we will distribute thousands of copies of the ISHR Pocket Guide to Human Rights. ![]() With thousands upon thousands of visitors a year, dating back nearly a thousand years, El Camino de Santiago is one of the most traveled routes in history. This year also happens to be Jubilee...whenever St. James Day (July 25th) falls on a Sunday, it is declared a Jubilee year and record number visitors are expected. The most recent celebratory year was 1993, drawing over 7 million pilgrims. Many millions more are expected in 2010. ![]() Los Derechos Humanos Camino a Santiago is produced with absolute attention to a solid marketing strategy, cost-effectiveness, efficiency, quality and global impact. Our mission is to promote education, understanding, and respect for human rights, as embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, though music and other forms of artistic expression.
